Kevin McKay has returned from his 3 months sojourn at The British School at Rome (April to June 2011) as our first Fletcher Foundation Travelling Scholar. Since then he has been working up some of his sketches as paintings and was engaged as Art Fellow at Sydney Grammar School in July and Augus, 2011. WFF Friends were invited to attend the Opening of his Exhibition at Sydney Grammar School on Friday evening 19th August and during the following week.

Most of the works shown are now visible on Kevin's website:http://www.kevinmckayart.com/ and click on Recent.

Many were delighted to follow Kevin's thoughts and experiences through his Rome Diaries I to VII on that website. It has been great for Foundation members and friends to share his appreciation of this wonderful opportunity, which he makes explicit on the last page of Diary VII.

Kevin has also been commissioned by Members of the Foundation for a self portrait, showing his painting activity at the Serapeum in Hadrian's villa at Tivoli (see below).
